How to get to Ayia Napa

Larnaca airport is approximately 50 Km from Ayia Napa and it’s the one most international flights to Cyprus use. There are scheduled flights direct to Larnaca from most major European airports. Once you arrive to Larnaca, you can get a Taxi or hire a car at the airport to get to Ayia Napa.

Getting a Taxi

Getting a Taxi from Larnaca airport to Ayia Napa will cost you around £15 during day hours (06:01-20:30) and around £20 during night hours (20:31-06:00). During Public Holidays there is an extra supplement of £0.60 per person. It is strongly advised to confirm fares before taking a Taxi. Complaints should be forwarded to the Road Traffic department Tel. 22807149 or through the Police.

Hiring a car

Should you wish to hire a car, you will need a valid International driving licence or a national driving licence, provided it is valid for the class of vehicle that you intend to drive. Full third party insurance is included by law on every car hired out. However it’s a good idea to get an additional Collision Damage Waiver for about £5-£8 per day. This is like Fully Comprehensive car insurance. But it's advisable to check on the value of excess applied by each company so that if you do have an accident, you will know in advance exactly how much you will to have to pay.
